About Us

DEFSET is an audio gear shop as well as an emerging cultural hub for beatmakers, music producers, content creators, rappers, singers, DJs and all kinds of sound warpers. We care about humble beginners, untamed DIYers, experienced pros and anybody between.

We sell it all: MIDI controllers, studio monitors, microphones, audio interfaces, synths and sequencers, headphones, samplers, DJ gear, bluetooth speakers and even cassette players from brands we know and trust, and there’s a lot more coming in the near future.

Currently DEFSET is terminally online, but we’re hard at work to reach our final 2026 form as a psysical location at Krišjāņa Barona 130 K-7 to welcome you to DEFSET in person. We believe in getting together and making music, friendships and history. We know how close the relationship between a creator and their gear is, so we encourage people to come and try out our wares — play keys, hit pads, see how headphones sound and feel before ordering online. It’s allowed at DEFSET, we're cool like that.

DEFSET is founded by us — Kristaps Ritms and ansis. We both have been successful on our own doing cool stuff we’re passionate about, but this time we've decided to build something together for our city and our community. We believe Riga needs DEFSET more than it would care to admit, so here we are, let's boogie.
